Gathering, Usage and Storage of Personal Data

The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in effect from May 25th 2018 replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 and marks one of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law. J&G Environmental can provide the assurance of being GDPR compliant and offering transparency when it comes to the information we collect from customers or prospective customers and what we do with it. We also take the security of that information very seriously.

If you choose to contact us, enquires submitted to us via our website are received online via email and forwarded to the relevant department for the requested follow up. If the enquiry does not end up resulting in a new account, this information and any contact details will be deleted and no further contact will be made. This is explained at the time of contact with a tick box asking for consent and a link to this privacy policy.

Customer account information is entered into and held in a secure database.  All databases are hosted with Microsoft Azure, encrypted with Transparent Data Encryption and can only be accessed by our staff with authorised user accounts.

J&G Environmental Limited will not send you emails that you have not agreed to receive and it is our strict policy not to sell, rent or pass personal details on to third parties.

You have the right to request both to see and to delete, any information kept about you. For any enquiries or requests relating to this or J&G’s compliance with GDPR in general please contact heather@jg-environmental.com.

Data breaches are rare and we take every precaution to guard against them. In the unfortunate and highly unlikely event of any breach of data we would notify anyone potentially affected at the earliest opportunity.
